Stephen Robinson

Steve accepts briefs in a range of practice areas but has a particular focus on criminal and common law matters.

Steve was admitted as a solicitor in 2010 and called to the bar in 2021.

While a solicitor, Steve worked at Ashurst in Sydney, the NSW ODPP, the Aboriginal Legal Service at Redfern, Legal Aid ACT, and as inhouse counsel in the federal public service.

Since coming to the bar, Steve has appeared regularly in criminal proceedings in NSW and the ACT for both the prosecution and defence. He has developed a plaintiff common law practice centred on institutional abuse.

Steve has chambers in both Newcastle (Hunter Street) and Canberra (Burley Griffin).
