Skye graduated from Queensland University of Technology, with a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of International Business (Asian Studies) in 2009. Skye commenced as a prosecutor for the Office of Public Prosecutions (Qld) that same year and continued working in North Queensland until 2015 when she was appointed as a Senior Crown Prosecutor. In 2019, Skye moved to Canberra and commenced working as the Supervising Prosecutor for the Sexual Offence Unit for the Director of Public Prosecutions (ACT). Skye represented the Director of Public Prosecutions (ACT) with distinction until 2024 when she was called to the Bar.

Skye has 15 years of experience as counsel prosecuting complex, high profile and serious criminal casework, specialising in sexual offence prosecutions in the ACT and QLD. Skye has prosecuted hundreds of jury trials, sentences and argued countless complex legal issues in the superior courts, including the Court of Appeal. Skye has been lead counsel for a wide spectrum of criminal offences including murder, manslaughter, attempted murder, serious sexual offences, conspiracy to launder money, dangerous driving causing death, trafficking in dangerous drugs and serious fraud.
