Christopher Thomas Barry Q.C. holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts from the University of New England, Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and Master of Laws from the University of Bristol where he was Rotary Foundation Postgraduate Scholar in the United Kingdom, 1978-1979.

He was admitted as a barrister in the ACT in 1980 and appointed Queen’s Counsel for the Territory in 1993. He has practised in all jurisdictions but his main areas of practice have been in personal injuries ,inquests and commissions of inquiry where he has been Counsel Assisting two major public inquiries. He is on the ACT Supreme Court panel of mediators. He is the only practising ACT Queen’s Counsel.
